[edit]Last paragraph is a bit strange. I believe Peter Weir still lives in Sydney (Palm Beach?). Also, he often shoots overseas with Hollywood money and then does the post-production in Australia. --Religion-- Any ideas on his religious background ? Protestant, Catholic, Jewish ?
I'm going to remove much of the last paragraph of 'Film making in the United States' section re: Master and Commander soon unless someone can come up with the citations needed. As it is, the last three sentences read like some fan wrote it. On further inspection, the lack of refrences throughout and the liberal use of adjectives calls much of the article into question. Terms like "groundbreaking", "underground cult classic", and "pensive"- with no citations- are not Wikipedia-useful. And a refrence that leads to scale-modelers-handbook.com hardly inspires confidence.
It is not the case that The Truman Show 'predated reality TV' as the article states. See relevant articles on Survivor, MTV's The Real World and BBC's The Living Soap. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Refusenik1 (talk • contribs) 17:42, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
